LADY IN RED

Finally getting to share a look I put together for Rent the Runway. I loved everything about this red dress, made me feel so elegant and it fit so perfectly. Of course, we all know that there are significantly more important things than clothes and fashion. But there’s something to be said about how amazing you can feel in the right outfit. The right outfit gives you an extra pep in your step, it makes you confident, you smile without knowing why. It’s for those reasons that I try to only buy clothes that give me that feeling – many times these are not expensive pieces, it could even be a cheap t-shirt.

When I spring clean or fall clean, I ask myself if a piece of clothing/jewelry/bag still gives me joy, and if it doesn’t, it goes into the Salvation Army bag, or the share with my family and girlfriends bag. I never feel bad when I know that someone else will get some use out of it, although there was that one time a friend of mine rocked a dress I had given away and she looked so amazing and everyone was giving her compliments and I couldn’t remember how I could have said goodbye to the dress…. haha, small regrets.
