AROUND TOWN: AFRICAN RESTAURANT WEEK NYC

For the first time ever in NYC, an event I am most excited about- it's the first and hopefully annual African Restaurant Week. All my faves are participating and even some places I haven't been able to check out yet. Food lovers can enjoy prix-fixe three-course meals (lunch and dinner options valued at $19.95 per person and $28.95 per person) at several high-caliber African restaurants, between Sunday October 13 and Sunday October 20. Besides all the food you can eat, there's a ton of events also planned, get more info and deets at beuevents. I truly hope this is a success as I love it when those who haven't had an opportunity to try out African food, get to taste the goodness and diversity of African food.
