CHRIS HONDROS FUND
I just wanted to take a minute to share a very special event; one I thought you guys should know about.
There are so many stories and pictures we would never see or hear about if it wasn't for the amazing courage and heroism of people like Chris Hondros. If you don't know his name, Chris Hondros was an amazing photojournalist and a two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist. He was killed April 20, 2011, in a mortar attack in Misrata, Libya and will be remembered for his ability to capture the humanity within conflict.
The Chris Hondros Fund was created to honor Hondros and advances the work of photojournalists who espouse his legacy and vision, and also sponsors fellowships and programs that bring shared human experiences into the public eye.
If you would like to support his legacy and the work of other photojournalists like him, you may purchase tickets to the Chris Hondros Fund's 2nd annual award ceremony and benefit. Tickets are still available here for the ceremony, this Friday, June 7th.
CHF is also holding an online auction from now until June 7. Photos from various well-known photographers are available. To put in a bid, visit the auctions page at Paddle8.
See you there if you can make it.
