REAL GIRL ON FIRE

Back in 2011, I blogged about a site called ReelAfrican (a site still worth checking out) and the little show called Shuga. That was my first introduction to Lupita Nyong'o.  It's so great to see this actress go from strength to strength and I wish nothing but continued success for her in Hollywood. It's hard enough for African-American actresses in the industry not to mention an African actress, who is absolutely stunning but who we should admit looks little like what we generally see on our screens.
