When did you start selling on Etsy and Why Etsy?
I started selling on Etsy December 2010. Jewelry making started as a hobby, and soon I had to much jewelry to wear for myself. I have been a big fan of Etsy since 2007, and is was the obvious place to sell my jewelry. It is filled with talented artist, inspiration and I love to shop there.

Is this a full time gig for you?

I work fulltime, and also do volunteer work. My schedule is pretty full, and in every free moment I make jewelery. There are many late nights, but this is what I love. StillWithYou is still pretty new, and by the ways things are going I hope it will turn into a full time gig in the future.


If I could only buy one thing from your shop right now, which would you recommend?
My absolute favorite piece from my shop is the black hand embroidered necklace. http://www.etsy.com/listing/69942292/hand-embroidered-necklace-black-leather
It has a unique mix of southwestern, native and tribal elements, and the black leather and colorful thread makes a color pop killer combination. I even get stopped on the street by strangers when I wear it!

What was first piece you ever made/sold?
The first item I sold is actually the first piece I ever made. It was the white leather hand embroidered southwestern necklace. http://www.etsy.com/listing/64869953/hand-embroidered-necklace-white-leather I made it for woman in San Fransisco, and you will not believe how happy I was!  Or how happy I still get whenever someone buys my jewelry. I still call my mom to tell her about each sale and customer. We share the same excitement level; sky high!

What are your plans for the future?

I want to see where StillWithYou takes me. It has given me so much joy. I hope to expand the product range with accessories and maybe even clothes. I plan to take a silversmithing course this fall, and save up to travel more.

Do you have a workspace? If so, can you share what it looks like? 

My workspace is in the living room. Ikea made all my dreams come true when my darling boyfriend gave me his credit card and said I needed a better organized solution than the living room table I had used as a workspace up til then. My workstation is now big, beautiful and filled with supplies. And often also my darling cat, Robin, and some flowers to brighten up my day.

What's on your playlist?

I am a passionate music lover. Right now I am giving Bon Iver’s second album a shot. I love African and south American music, my current crush is Les espoirs de coronthie. My all time favorite artist is Cat power, I always return to her.

Last but not least, any brunch recommendations for that long overdue trip to Copenhagen?
Copenhagen takes brunch dead serious! I would recommend Kleist Kaffe on Frederiksberg. A nice little sidewalk cafe to enjoy homemade, ecological and healthy food.
