THE BOOTSTRAP PROJECT

Have you heard about The Bootstrap Project? They are a non-profit organization that helps create a sustainable platform to promote and retain old crafts and customs and allowing artisans (usually villagers in remote areas) to get their goods out there, to you and me. By doing so, they help these communities develop and maintain a source of income and potentially end their poverty.  Just a few highlights:

People in these communities most often do not want handouts. They are proud, talented and hardworking and its nice to have platforms like these where they can showcase their talents and earn money for their families.
