I'm supposed to be away right now, but I saw this video on NYTimes and I just had to share.

A beautiful journey.

This was particualrly timely as I spotted the vid (WATCH IT BELOW), a few minutes after a non-Black friend asked me about my hair and that she never quite understood the myriad of ways it changed shape, size, texture.

I would have her watch this video its not a novel story for many but it might still be for some it almost
seems silly

that something, something almost so trivial as hair (it is only just hair after all....right???) could have such an impact on the way we see ourselves how we feel inside and out.

Everyone has their own story, reasons and journey

But I cant help but smile

Its just one of those little things that makes me SMILE.
