DUBROVNIK TRAVEL GUIDE
Our trip to Dubrovnik Croatia was quite the experience. There were so many nooks and crannies of the city to explore all with Game of Throne vibes.
PLACES TO STAY
We stayed at the beautiful Bellevue Hotel Dubrovnik and had the most incredible view overlooking Bellevue Beach. I mean it was an absolutely amazing view right off our balcony. I definitely recommend this gorgeous hotel. A couple of other options are the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik and the Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik. The Hilton Imperial has been recently renovated and gives a luxe modern vibe. It is also literally a minute walk to the Old Town area.
THINGS TO DO
You have to walk around on Stradun, which is the main pedestrian street in Old Town Dubrovnik. There is just so much to do along this street. Its a must visit. Also don’t pass up the alleys and stairs, they most always lead to great shops, restaurants and views. I caution that wearing comfortable shoes is a must because there is a lot of walking and climbing up stairs in this area of Dubrovnik especially if you are curious and like to explore. If you want to get the greatest views it is so worth it to find the city walls because walking along the walls offer spectacular views. There is plenty of shopping and you can find some of the most unique locally made items from Croatian artists, creators and small businesses at Life According to Kawa. It is a great place to find gifts for loved ones. You also don’t want to miss the beach in Dubrovnik, Bellevue Beach is gorgeous with crystal clear water but it is very pebbly so be sure to bring water shoes. If you can do a game of thrones tour, the tour guides are filled with a wealth of knowledge and it seems like a fun tour to take.

Day 1: Exploring the Old Town
Morning – City Walls Dubrovnik
Start your day by conquering the City Walls—the ultimate Dubrovnik experience! These colossal defensive walls, built between the 13th and 16th centuries, once shielded the Republic of Ragusa from Venetians and Ottomans. Now, they offer jaw-dropping views of the Adriatic Sea. Channel your inner medieval warrior as you walk along these ancient ramparts.
Afternoon – Quaint Alleys and Museums
Meander through the charming alleys of the Old Town. Admire historic architecture, peek into hidden corners, and soak up the atmosphere. Don’t miss:
Stradun Street: The 13th-century main drag where time seems to stand still.
Rector’s Palace: A blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles—now a museum.
Sponza Palace: A stunning Gothic-Renaissance building that houses the State Archives.
Dubrovnik Cathedral: Marvel at its grandeur and intricate details.

As the sun starts to dip, head to the Buža Bar (literally “hole in the wall”). Sip a drink while perched on the cliffs, watching the sun kiss the horizon. It’s like sipping cocktails in a fairy tale.

Take the cable car up to Mount Srđ for panoramic views of Old Town Dubrovnik. Snap Insta-worthy pics and feel on top of the world.
